GENERAL MERCHANDISE (A) 10/10/33: “He has been dealing here for about a year or more; always pays cash, but 1 would credit him if he asked me to. He is a fiction writer and I understand has travelled considerably. Married a native of this county. I believe his father is employ d by the Government in one of the middle western states, but I do not know his name.”
MRS. H. L. LEWIS, 3038 P St., N. W., LANDLADY, 5/22/41: “Has resided here since 5/21/41. Have known him for a number’ of years, however and regard as very satisfactory.”
WIFE is reported. to be dependent upon husband for support; she was formerly a Miss Grubb of Montgomery County, Maryland, she is living on the west coast at the present time, but is reported to be coming to Washington, in the near future.
Lafayette Ron, has traveled a great deal about 5/21/41, came to Washington from the Explorers Club, N. Y. C.; prior to that lived on the west coast, and since has resided 3038 P. St., N. W. He resided in Washington on a prior occasion, (from about 1933-1934), resided in Laytonsville, Maryland.
