Letter from the
Sr. Case Supervisor
[Inset: “This will change your life and the life of your teenaged children if applied exactly…]
Hi! Welcome to the 31st installment of “Letter from the Case Supervisor.” Once again, I’m Greg Smith, Senior Case Supervisor of Mace-Kingsley Family Center.
This is going to be a very informative letter based on one simple reference from LRH. This will change your life and the life of your teenaged children if applied exactly. (I’m going to hold off on giving the datum to create some suspense!)
I remember a magazine article when I was growing up that had a photo of a grizzly looking gent in his late teens (grizzly, you know, long hair, beard, beads…you get the picture). Facing him across a gap was a very conservatively dressed man (nice suit and tie, short slicked down hair, etc.) with the phrase at the top of it like: “Bridging the Generation Gap.” The article went on to spew a bunch of psychological false data about the “inevitability of the gap between youth and their parents;” basically a lot of nonsense. Are you in suspense yet? Well as always, LRH has stated a succinct piece of technology that gets to the root of that balderdash. From The State of Man Congress, the tape entitled Marriage (pg 163 of transcript):
“Because what is the most upsetting thing about children? The most upsetting thing about children is that they blow; children blow the family. In America they routinely blow the family in their teens.” Later on in the same lecture (pg 166), “Now, when children have too many overts and withholds against their parents, they make fife miserable for their parents. This is the dandiest thing you ever heard of. When they have too many overts and withholds against their parents they make life miserable for their parents.”
… “And if the parents permit them to go on having this many overts and withholds against the parents, then they really start making life miserable for everybody and then they start blowing the family. And by the time they’re sixteen and seventeen this natural phenomenon of their leaving the family will take place.”
Cool, right? You bet! How do you handle it? Find a competent ethics officer at your local Scientology Church, Mission or Field Group and ensure they have done the Golden Age of Tech Ethics Specialist Course and have your child do a standard 0/W write-up as laid out by LRH in HCOB/HCOPL 2 March 1984RB Rev 14 Dec 2001 O/W Write-ups. There are additional tools to get off a person’s overts and withholds that can be applied if needed. The Ethics Officer will liaise with a competent case supervisor to ensure the correct tools are applied on the correct gradient.
What will be the results? The most in-communication, high toned relationship a family can have. Don’t settle for less! Use these LRH tools to really resolve this situation to a big win across the boards!
All right, have fun with this!
Once again signing off and hope to see you real soon!
Love,
Greg Smith
