[Redacted] telephoned today and asked if the Bureau had any information on the Allied Scientists of the World.
The Bureau files reflect that according to the literature of this organization, its current goal is “the furnishing of maximal protection to the people and culture of various countries against the threat of atomic war. It is self-described as a non-ideological, non-denominational, and non-racial organization.
According to information received from the Denver Office, this organization is being looked into by the Postal Authorities in view of a possible mail fraud violation. The Denver office was advised by [redacted] Post Office Inspector, Denver, that he had received a phone call from one R. L. Heddard, Wichita, Kansas who claimed that the Heddard Dianetics Foundation, 211 West Douglas, Wichita, Kansas was the parent organization and that the instant circularization of the Allied Scientists of the World is a membership drive.
