Magazine article: Putting The Future There (1992)

The demand to know about the technology of LRH in Russia is enormous. Two Book One seminars were delivered recently to students and teachers at the Moscow State University. The enormous success of these seminars led to the opening just weeks later of Moscow’s first Dianetics Counseling Group.

In St Petersburg, where nearly 1000 Russians have been introduced to Dianetics and Scientology through regular lectures and Book One Seminars, the country’s first mission sent four staff to the Flag Service Organization for auditor and staff training this summer. They have now returned and are delivering a series of Dianetics Seminars.

Another of LRH’s works, The Way To Happiness, is getting the message of honesty, personal integrity and greater responsibility for one’s fellow man into higher levels of Russian government. Leatherbound copies of this book have been presented to various high officials and opinion leaders in Russia, including the Chief of Police. And broad distribution of the booklet is in progress.

As a result of the overwhelming demand for LRH technology at all levels of the Russian society, the “OTL Russia” has been established in Moscow. OTL stands for Operations Transport and Liaison Office, a Sea Organization unit which exists to carry out dissemination and expansion programs from management with the purpose of delivering Scientology and Dianetics technology to the Russian people. The OTL consists of representatives for the Office of Special Affairs, WISE, Scientology Missions International, Association for Better Living and Education, New Era Publications and five Russian staff.1, 2
