Magazine article: An OT Future For Canada (2009)

With three Ideal Orgs secured, including one under construction, and the rest of the continent working for their Ideal Org buildings, Canada is well on its way to creating an entire continent of Ideal Orgs.

And when they reach their target, what will stand atop The Bridge in the True North is the Advanced Organization and Saint Hill Canada.

Though only an hour’s drive from Canada’s Continental Org in Toronto, or a half-hour drive from Pearson International Airport, it will feel like it is a thousand miles away in untrammeled Ontario wilderness. Canada’s new Advanced Org will be established in what was once a legendary retreat, long the destination for cosmopolitan Canadians who wanted to reconnect with their pioneer roots, if only by strapping on skis and hitting the slopes.

It is the ideal home for our new Sea Org base and Advanced Org Canada and where Canadians will move through the ultimate frontier of OT. Located on 190 tree-covered acres, its buildings comprise 159,000 square feet. Once it has been given the full Ideal Advanced Org design treatment, every inch will not only spell “rustic lodge,” but will say
“Welcome home” to all Canadian Clears and pre-OTs.

Solo auditors will embark on the upper levels in AO Canada’s spacious Advanced Courses course room and then move on to the Advanced Org HGC. From the HGC, preclears and pre-OTs will have a picture-perfect view of the Canadian wilderness in all its natural splendor as they journey through the advanced realms.

The Advanced Org is being built for high capacity, with more than 50 beautifully designed auditing rooms, where it is unlikely anyone will answer anything but a definitive “yes” to the question, “Is this room all right with you?”

Today the path up The Bridge is cleared for all to travel, thanks to the study of The Basics, and a new breed of educated Scientologist is now ascending to the top of The Bridge.

Accordingly, the AO bookstore, in and of itself, will say Golden Age of Knowledge and is where students and pre-OTs will be able to purchase their materials in whatever language they need.

Canadian OTs will be driving their continental OT boom from the AO conference center. Here Canadian OT Committee members will gather to set their targets and guide still more up the lower Bridge to OT.

THE PAVILION

At the hub of the property is the Pavilion, originally designed as an event venue, and this is how it will be used following full renovation.

The ground floor will house the Public Information Displays, and corresponding offices for field activation.

In the Pavilion’s auditorium, Canadian Scientologists will convene for weekly graduations, briefings and OT Conventions, not to mention the full calendar of international events. Also located in the Pavilion will be the Maple Leaf Café, where students and preclears can keep their rudiments in as they travel The Bridge to OT.

THE MAPLE LEAF

The Maple Leaf Hotel religious retreat, located on the property just minutes from the Advanced Org and Pavilion, is expressly designed to accommodate Canadians whether they are there for the weekend or staying longer term while intensively trekking the higher OT levels. Each future guest room and suite will be prepared for solo auditing, with the comfort factor raised and physical universe distractions reduced. The restaurant will feature a full range of Canadian dishes, from Vancouver’s lumberjack breakfasts to Quebec’s steam dogs and croque-monsieur.

CONTINENTAL LIAISON OFFICE CANADA

To cut wide the trail for all to arrive at OT, there is one more vital component to the equation: the new Continental Liaison Office Canada. From here Sea Org members will drive expansion across every province and territory, so as to provide the means by which all Canadians can move up The Bridge and make it to OT. The future Continental Training Org will train executive teams to helm the Ideal Orgs of today and tomorrow. Since clearing takes the coordinated advance of all sectors, the CLO will also guide the programs for ABLE, WISE, SMI, and I HELP’s field auditors from the Northwest Passage to Niagara Falls. While to bring the tech to the entire nation in both official languages, English and French, this CLO will also have an on-site office for Golden Era Productions, complete with a built-in recording studio for bilingual translations.

THE LRH OFFICE

Situated at the heart of the new Canadian OT base will be the office for L. Ron Hubbard, standing in tribute to his vision of a future that extended well beyond the great outdoors and straight on up
to the stars.¹
