via : The Commandant, Navy Yard, Washington, D. C.1. If appointed in the United States Naval Reserve, I agree to enroll promptly in the correspondence course in Navy Regulations and Customs, and to complete such course within two years, and thereafter to enroll in such other correspondence courses as will better fit me for the performance of my duties as an officer in the United States Naval Reserve. I will also participate in such exercises and other activities as may be prescribed for the classification to which I may be assigned, or for Naval Reserve officers in general, in the locality in which I reside.
2. I hereby apply for enrollment in the course in Navy Regulations and Customs, effective upon execution of Oath and Acceptance of Office as an officer in the U. S. Naval Reserve.
3. I understand that failure to carry out this agreement will be considered as sufficient grounds for my discharge from the U. S. Naval Reserve.
