1. In accordance with the recommendations of the Chief Cable Censor, Washington, D.C., and the Vice Chief of Naval Operations, contained in references (a), you are hereby transferred effective May 6, 1942, in the rank of Lieutenant (.4) in the Volunteer Reserve, from Class I-V(S) to Class D-V(S), U.S.N.R.
2. The Vice Chief of Naval Operations has requested this action in view or the fact that the Office of Cable Censorship, to which you are attached, is now under the cognizance of the Chief Cable Censor.
You are hereby detached from duty in the Twelfth Naval District, and from such other duty as may have been assigned you; will proceed to New York, N.Y. and report to the Commandant, Third Naval District, and to the Cable Censor, New York, N.Y. for duty
- The Commandant, Twelfth Naval District, is authorized to utilize the services of the subject officer until such time as the Bureau of Navigation considers detaching Lieutenant (jc) Lafayette P. Hubbard, I-V(S), U.S.N.R.
